The more you know, the more confidently you will express your unique voice. Expand your dance vocabulary, and explore the energizing 9/8 rhythm! Learn the dance in its true form, and then fuse it to other dance elements. Turkish Rom dance is richly expressive and playful, passionate and fun. Students will dance the pure form to traditional music in 9/8 time signature. Then we will use non-traditional music to create a scintillating, original fusion choreography, drawing on the technique and knowledge of the folkloric form.Level
